When making my art I like to use temporary mediums, using man made objects to make impressions on natural items and surroundings such as rotting fruit, vegetation and various boggy landscapes. By doing this I hope to draw paradoxes between our concepts of beauty and disgust, our unseverable ties with earth and the impermanence of human life compared to the eternity of nature.
I am making temporary marks, pieces of art that only last for a moment in time before nature claims it back again.
My previous works are all linked by my love of the tactile, I have made all my art to be touched, from the delicately textured painted faces to the mud encrusted wedding dress. I am a sensation junkie, if it feels nice I will get involved.
